The Magnificent Results

There are two levels of results that occur with Magnificent Movement.

The first level is the empowerment, joy, coordination and intelligence that grows with Magnificent Movement program. You can learn a lot about the benefits of Magnificent Movement from our DVD, Magnificent Moving Kidz.

The second level is how that solid foundation of movement translates into other sports and dance. But what may be surprising to some adults is the level of competence this joyful program provides!

We all want happy children, of course, and Magnificent Movement certainly provides that. But we wanted to also develop a program that would prepare competent MOVERS. For us, at St. Louis based Arts in Motion (Aim), that meant preparing dancers. The Magnificent Movement philosophy was translated into a dance program for older students. Here are a few quotes from parents about their child’s experience at Aim:
"Aim has taught my daughter not only how to dance, but to become the dance, to love the dance."

"The first words that come to my mind when I reflect on my daughter's experiences at Aim are "supportive" and "instructive". She has been able to dance in an environment which has encouraged her personal growth and group participation without the negative stresses of competition."

"Arts in Motion provides a rigorous, pre-professional dance program in an atmosphere that is supportive, kind, and fun."

"The instructors are highly qualified dancers with a variety of backgrounds who themselves currently perform in professional ensembles. They are "real world" creative artists. And being a member of the Aim Ensemble has given her the opportunity to regularly perform in a number of settings, thereby improving her performance skills. These ongoing performances have given her the opportunity to improve her dancing by learning from each performance and applying what she has learned to the next venue rather than having the "one-shot" chance of dancing her best at a single year-end recital. The multiple age levels involved in the Aim Ensemble has encouraged her ability to work cooperatively with fellow students of varying ages and abilities to create the magic and art of dance."

"While learning real dance skills and sophisticated choreography, dancers develop self-confidence and a sense of the importance of teamwork as members of a performing group. This training really benefits the body, mind and artistic spirit. We enthusiastically recommend it to students and their parents."
